When push comes to shove it is time to respond; however, the real question becomes “What is the best way to do so?” We are not empowered to dictate, to declare an obvious solution or pretend to understand all aspects of worldwide problems. Certainly, the reigning politicians present their arguments. It goes without saying that the various parties seldom agree on issues that effect a population. The media is quick to stir the pot by deciding which side of an issue will garner the most feedback, support, popularity or economic benefits. Each citizen can attempt to win the support of the people by exercising the right to vote. Some choose to demonstrate their beliefs or protests through peaceful sit-ins, gatherings or marches; while others resort to violence or public inconveniences like blockades or looting.
