WHY ARE YOU SO SAD?

YOUR FACE WOULD MAKE ONIONS CRY!

THE MESSAGE:

Canada is a wealthy nation primarily because of the habits, values and social capital of its people. Most of them believe the simple moral idea that effort should lead to reward. People, through integrity hard work and a determination to play by the rules are entitled to be prosperous. Money and wealth should go to people on the basis of merit and enterprise. Self-control should be rewarded. Laziness and self-indulgence should not.

Our community institutions should nurture responsibility and fairness. Unfortunately, this reality can be and often is undermined and eroded. We have far too many evils at work: The obvious evils centre around patronage and waste that divert tax dollars. Others include brokers manipulating securities for personal profit and fraudulent schemes that steal money from the unsuspecting. We face unscrupulous employers who take advantage of their workers or corrupt governments that take money from future generations to curry favour among present day voters.

TONY TODAY:

Unfortunately there exists in our country communities that suffer because of heritage, race, religion or other discriminatory realities. How can we, as a nation of freedom, remove these barriers to opportunity and prosperity?

Is it any mystery that social trust is sacrificed and suffers? Hence, we have over-zealous and partisan politicians with hidden agendas or groups and gangs seeking to erase the problems of inequality.

We tolerate the occupy movements, encouraged by unions and motivated by a misguided sense of entitlement. We have unions that go too far in the name of employee protection only to succeed in pricing them out of employment or tarnishing their public image. Our laws punish criminals but fail to curtail the abundance of illegal firearms.
