There can be no life without true, parental love. Any human being who suffers the fate of living without the benefit and knowledge of being loved is doomed to suffer a troubled or short-lived existence.

In an ideal situation, a new born baby is welcomed into the world by two nurturing parents. The birth has been planned and a family is born that will support and raise the child in a loving environment.

In some cases, nurturing love can be provided by the adoption of a child who has been deprived of birth parents due to some tragic event. Most of the adopting parents are loving and responsible people who have committed to each other and are able to provide the love that a child needs. It is very possible that these parents are of the same sex.

Adults deprived of love are often the victims of selfish, egotistical abusers who are incapable of providing the necessary connection.

The victims may have been abandoned, abused, impoverished or ignored in the early stages of their lives. They may have been introduced to gangs, drugs, guns or other anti- societal pursuits that seem to present relief from their loveless existence.
