Like his father before him and any good leader, Justin Trudeau will attract, surprise, delight, and annoy Canadians at any given time over any arising issue. He will create an atmosphere of acceptance or rejection, of admiration or distaste.
Justin Trudeau was born on December 25, 1971, in Ottawa, Canada. At the age of six his parents separated. After their divorce was finalized in 1984, Pierre moved to Montreal. Justin attended Brebeuf, a Jesuit College, and went on to study at McGill University earning a bachelor's degree in 1994.
His early employment history included a bouncer in a British Columbia night club, a snowboard and white water rafting instructor, a radio host and a math teacher.

Justin pursued a degree in education at the University of British Columbia and completed it in 1998. Tragedy struck his family when his youngest brother Michel died in an avalanche, after which Justin became involved in promoting avalanche awareness and safety.
In 2000, he delivered the eulogy for his father in a nationally televised service for the late prime minister. Trudeau impressed many with his eloquent speech, but he showed little interest in entering politics. Trudeau was in demand as a speaker, delivering talks across the country to young Canadians on 'volunteerism'.
In 2005, Trudeau married Canadian TV and radio host Sophie Grégoire. The couple has three children, Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien.
He was first elected to the Canadian Parliament in 2008. In 2013, Trudeau became the leader of the Liberal Party. He and his party won an impressive victory in 2015 with Trudeau becoming the country's second youngest prime minister.
He promised Canadian voters "real change" in his campaign, calling for tax increases for the wealthy and tax cuts for the middle class. He also pledged to protect abortion rights and push through the legalization of marijuana in Canada. A committed environmentalist, Trudeau stated that he would work on the country's climate change policies.
In 2014, Trudeau published his memoir 'Common Ground', in which he shared his experiences as the son of a prime minister.. In November 2015 Trudeau made headlines when he appointed half of his cabinet positions to women, honouring a campaign promise of having a gender-balanced cabinet. When asked why he felt the need to do this, the self-purported "proud feminist" simply replied: "Because it's 2015."
Trudeau is on record to have said, "it’s time Canadians acknowledged that racism and unconscious bias against black people exist in this country."
OPPOSITION
In my opinion Trudeau talks a popular game wherever he goes. Whatever the audience wants to hear, he accomodates in order to win votes. He is probably more concerned with being popular abroad and at home than in doing what is good for all Canadians.
Despite Trudeau's obvious charisma and popularity, he ran into opposition with his determination to approve the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain project, a pipeline allowing oil sands from Alberta to be transferred to a port in British Columbia. Certain groups claimed the project would bring harm to the environment and climate. Trudeau rejected this notion and has asserted his decision was based on science and would not threaten the environment.

CARBON TAX
He is now being criticized for his stance on a Carbon tax for all Canadians. If the provinces fail to act he has declared that he will intervene and impose a federal taxation.
A CANADIAN IS A CANADIAN
Recently in Edmonton, he likened the returning of Canadians, who had left to join ISIS terrorists, to people who had fled their countries to avoid evils. He compared them to Vietnamese, Ismaili, Italian, Greek and Portuguese communities in Canada???
THE BLURB:
During his recent address in Davos, Trudeau said Canada would not attempt to match America’s new, lower tax rates. The Liberal Government of Canada's approach of higher taxes and bigger government would actually give us better growth than the American economy.
According to Trudeau, we have entered a new age of doing business. No longer will managers be driven by profits and losses, but rather by a “values-based” approach to business. If Canada can just encourage more women to come into business, we can leap over the Americans and their tax cuts.
One critic remarks, "That probably sounds like a real idea to lots of idealistic millennials and “progressives” — people with a love of government and very little real-world experience. Like our prime minister! But just imagine the southward flow of capital (and jobs) if Trudeau sticks with his 'Hipster-nomics'." "This must be very comforting to a Sunny Ways “progressive” who wants to believe such twaddle. But as Thomas Aquinas once warned 'beware the man of one book.' "Beware the economically illiterate prime minister who has read just one study by a trendy consulting firm."
Why does the city of Toronto always vote Liberal?
THE LEMON:
To Bill Morneau for placing himself into the middle of an investigation as to whether or not he broke the Conflict of Interest Act.
"By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he's too old to go anywhere."
