THE COMEBACK:
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO PARIS, ROME, LONDON OR MOSCOW?
NO BUT IV’E BEEN TO TORONTO!
THE MESSAGE:
- A city with a clean atmosphere.
- Blessed with great hospitals. Princess Margaret, Toronto General too, Saint Mikes and Sick Kids just to name a few.
- A city with many people attractions. Climb the tower. See the parks. Visit Wonderland and the Aquarium sharks.
- Blessed with many fine restaurants. When it’s time to eat, Biagio on King will be a treat.
- A decent sports town. The Raptors will do what the Leafs fail to.
- Blessed with fine entertainment centres. Mirvish doth supply many pleasures for ear and eye.
- A city with many different cultures. There is always a place to enjoy another race.
- Blessed with a picturesque lakefront. If sailing is your pleasure then the harbour you will treasure.
- A city filled with caring folks. Even tho’ some votes are jokes.
- Blessed with a thriving business industry. If making money turns you on there are many choices to think upon.
- Inundated with Liberals. Cast your vote but think a bit. Did you forget that Trudeau shoots the shit?
- Cursed by selfish or incapable decision makers at City Hall. These boys don’t have a plan that works. Their efforts reveal a team of jerks.
- Overrun by pedestrians who ignore traffic light signals. They hate the cars and care but little. They hurry on and dodge the spittle.
- Unable for some to communicate without bias toward different cultures. Your thoughts and religion are food for a pigeon.
- In need of many more one way streets and co-ordinated traffic signals. To ease the traffic flow, this is a sensible way to go.
- Without a downtown International Airport. Why is this lacking? This concept needs backing.
- Cursed with a ridiculous King Street project. Here is an example of incomplete thinking! The people that created it should give up drinking.
- In need of more police to control troubled neighbourhoods. TAVIS was working it seemed like a plan; along came an activist, a misguided and disgruntled man.
- Too preoccupied with ‘political correctness’. One must be careful and never be led astray. There are simple people listening to all that we say. They hear not ideas or plans to progress. They only desire to hear one confess.
- Cluttered by a lack of sensible traffic ideas and policies. Cars are the devil polluting they say. Public transit is the surely the only way.
THE QUESTION:
Is Toronto ready for the future?
THE LEMON:
THE QUOTE:
"History shows us that in times of people feeling like they are in need of some sort of rebellion or protests, the artists rise because the poetry we create about pain and its relationship to culture in the world begins to soothe and heal people who are feeling confused or afraid."Lady Gaga
