THE MESSAGE:

Some people go to church to pray for guidance and assistance in coping with the mess foisted on them by evils in our society. Others pray to give thanks for blessings. Some never pray as they find it difficult to accept the fact that evil is often seen to outweigh the good and they tend to question an ‘All-merciful’ God. The answer lies within every individual soul and is only revealed when a person subdues the ego, opens the heart and understands what it means to be truly free.

CHOICES

Experience and choices are at the front and centre of our existence. We all need ideals and standards to guide the way. Parents and families play a key role in teaching and accepting the norms of the society in which they live. It is not difficult to love one's children. Difficulties arise when a child is unexpected, unwanted, not nurtured, handicapped, or very different. Alas! Then everybody struggles.

DIFFERENCES

What makes one individual faster than another, or stronger or wiser or more just? Why are some born into riches while others suffer from the perils of poverty? Why does a young, innocent child require a life saving liver or heart transplant? Why does the diversity of race, culture or skin colour result in such fear, jealousy and hatred? Why do some choose evil over goodness? How do we solve the two greatest mysteries of our existence? “Man’s inhumanity to his fellow man” and “Man’s insignificance in the grand scheme of things” .
