THE COMEBACK:
THE MESSAGE:
The biggest challenge for a family is accepting the loss of the mother, the father, or any of the children. The news is filled with many such losses. On occasion the tragedy involves the loss of more than one family member. The blow might have been caused by a public display of gun shots, a car crash, a department store raid, a school shooting, a plane crash, a house fire or flooding, a train collision at a crossing or some other unimaginable incident. One can never feel the sense of loss and love when any of the above examples are experienced by a family in a community or public facility. Consider the desperation if a family is faced with more than one such tragedy separated in time.
TONY TODAY:
The reality is quite visible in the USA. There is much concern, impatience and violence when the perpetrator of the crime has been arrested, charged and brought to jail only to be excused by the District Attorney and set free. The release is sometimes the result of perceived racial bigotry or political favouritism; however, it is always accompanied by ignorance and uncertainty!
There are occasions where the criminal is considered to be mentally incompetent. The perp has disfigured his face and declared his intentions publicly. Does it make sense that the legal system ignores these warnings and takes no action or intervention?
THE MUSIC:
The Lion Sleeps Tonight The Tokens
THE STUFF:
1. "They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax."
2. "On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don't like spicy food."
3. "We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish."
THE PUN:
THE QUESTION:
Are societies too lax in dealing with criminals?
THE LEMON:
Awarded too all the scumbag jerks who smuggle illegal guns into Canada!
