NEVER GIVE UP; BLOG # 2358; FRI JUL 08,2022

THE COMEBACK:

DO YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN?

"I SEE THE WAY YOU ARE: UNINTERESTING, UNINSPIRING, WITHOUT HUMOUR, DREADFULLY UGLY AND TOTALLY HOPELESS."

THE MESSAGE:

Today’s life is a true disaster for so many people. As I aged it became obvious that too many realities were easily referred to as normal. My existence was reflective of someone living in the ‘Dark Ages’. Below, I am going to list the many things that I find horrible and often referred to as “Pet Peeves’:

  • COVID. Who knew? Where did it originate?  Is Dr Fauci a true expert?  When, if ever will it end?
  • POLITICS IN CANADA. From what article of excrement did Trudeau emerge? It is obvious that living in this nation is far better than in many others; however are we truly a free society? Does the president of our southern neighbour have any  leadership qualities? Will the Democrats survive?
  • THE PRICE OF GASOLINE. Is this a conspiracy to create a demand for a green society, more electric cars and other fantasies? Will the USA revive the pipeline?
  • TV ADVERTISING. Why are there so many ads dedicated to lotteries, on-line gambling, ambulance-chasing legal firms, and fast food choices? Why are many ads so stupid?
  • TORONTO TRAFFIC. What can be done to ease this butt chafing? Surely the King street fiasco is not a suitable solution! Does the city need more one-way streets? Should big trucks be restricted to non-rush-hour times?
  • TORONTO ETHNICITIES. Toronto is a multicultural city. Is it a truism that human beings are unable to tolerate people of different races, cultures, religions and customs? Are most people really tribal?
  • WHO HAS SUFFERED MORE LATELY? Is it small businesses, pro sports, politicians or some other endeavour? I believe that it is our children who have been forced to endure a sporadic exclusion from curricular and extracurricular activities with their friends. Parents of young kids are also under a trying reality.
  • CRIME AND GUNS. The obvious increase in violent protests and murders makes the present day reality very unsettling. More action is required to prevent illegal guns from entering the country!
  • HOMELESSNESS. This is a problem in many big cities of the world. It occurs when a part of the population does not have any place to call home. Hundreds of millions of people in the world spend at least some time of the year homeless. Ontario, highways or affordable houses? How about both
  • FATHERS AND SINGLE MOTHERS. If a child is not properly nurtured, that victim will have a problematic adulthood.
  • TO BE CONTINUED...................

TONY TODAY:

I have merely scratched the surface of some of my feelings on living in today’s society. The reader will, no doubt, imagine his own opinions on life in modern times. The word modern conjures up a hint that things are improving.  Certainly nothing can be further from the truth! The reality of today’s media is troubling and often misleading. It is often reflective of political bias, misguided thought and, at times, deliberate efforts to influence the innocent mind.
