YOU MAKE ME SICK; Blog #2320; FRI OCT 15,2021

THE COMEBACK:

WANT TO GO FOR COFFE

NO MEANS NO, NOW LET IT GO!

THE MESSAGE:

We often suffer from the disease called "I should have been a doctor". The truth is we are seldom correct in our analysis. Hence I present the following as a benefit to some diagnosticians.

If you are aware of your memory problems, you do not have Alzheimer's." Do you forget the names of friends, families, movies, former athletic stars? Do you not remember where you put some things or lose track of appointments?

It often happens in people 60 years and older.  They speak of a lack of memory. The info is in the brain,  but it is the "processor" that is lacking.

This is called ANOSOGNOSIA or temporary forgetfulness. Half of people 60 and older have some symptoms that are due to age rather than disease.

Many people are concerned about these oversights; however, those who are conscious of being forgetful have no serious problem of memory.

TONY TODAY:

ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE

Those who suffer from a memory illness or Alzheimer's, are not aware of what is happening. The more they complain about memory loss, the less likely they are to suffer from memory sickness."

If you have your own home, then listen to this poem.

Eat full meals & drink clean water,

never mind the sassy spiels of your teen aged daughter.

If you have a mobile phone, even tho' you may be alone.

Or if you surf the internet, and still can walk your  favourite pet.

You are in the privileged lot,  while 93% are not!

DIABETES

Diabetes Symptoms can cause a person to:

  • Urinate (pee) a lot, often at night
  • Become very thirsty
  • Lose weight without trying
  • Become very hungry
  • Develop blurry vision
  • Have numb or tingling hands or feet
  • Feel very tired
  • Have very dry skin
  • Have sores that heal slowly
  • Have more infections than usual

PARKINSON’S DISEASE

Linda Ronstadt was struck by this disease later in her career. She lost her singing voice and was forced to retire.

Muhammad Ali battled Parkinson's disease his entire post-boxing life. A new study shows that his  bout with Parkinson's started well before he was diagnosed with it.

Parkinson's is a disorder that impacts one specific section of the brain. The cause of the disease is not certain, and to date no cure has been found.

Parkinson's signs and symptoms may include a tremor or shaking that usually begins in a limb, often your hand or fingers. A hand may tremble when it's at rest.

Slowed movement (bradykinesia) causes simple tasks to be difficult and time-consuming. Steps may become shorter when walking. It may be difficult to get out of a chair. or one may drag the feet trying to walk.

Stiff muscles may occur that can be painful and limit the range of motion. Posture may become stooped, and balance problems may develop.

A decreased ability to perform unconscious movements like blinking, smiling or swinging your arms when walking.

Speech changes and may become hesitant or more of a monotone without  inflections. Writing  may become difficult.

HEPATITIS C

NAOMI JUDD  had the hepatitis C virus for a long time and had contracted the disease from a needle-stick accident when working as an intensive care unit nurse. She went on tour singing with her daughter Wynonna Judd.

After being told by a doctor that her chance of survival was around 15%, Naomi stopped touring and used her strength and intelligence to fight the disease.  She was eventually cured.

Hepatitis C, is  a liver condition caused by a blood-borne virus that can cause severe inflammation and damage to the vital organ.  About 3.2 million people in the United States have chronic hepatitis C viral infection, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Hepatitis C is called the “silent killer.” People often go undiagnosed for years, since the disease often shows no signs or symptoms during the early stages. It’s transmitted through contaminated blood.  Symptoms may include:

  • Bleeding easily
  • Bruising easily
  • Fatigue
  • Poor appetite
  • Yellow discoloration of the skin and eyes (jaundice)
  • Dark-colored urine
  • Itchy skin
  • Fluid buildup in your abdomen (ascites)
  • Swelling in your legs
  • Weight loss
  • Confusion, drowsiness and slurred speech (hepatic encephalopathy)
  • Spiderlike blood vessels on your skin (spider angiomas)

THE MUSIC:

SATANS RATS-you make me sick

THE STUFF:

Few odours are as pleasing as the "new car smell". But while the scent may be strangely satisfying, the fact is that it's pretty much  a combination of 50 or more chemicals (known as "volatile organic compounds”). They are released into the car, by the manufacturer decaying quickly over time. The concentrations found in a typical new car aren't dangerous,. Those that make up much of that new car smell are found in nail polish, auto fuel, and petroleum.
