THE MESSAGE:

For me the lyrics of some music  provide a valuable clue when reflecting on interpersonal relationships. Deception is probably the most common cause for disillusionment and breakup. Respect and honour spring from trust. Violating a dear friend's trust is not a crime; however, there is no greater harm that can be done to a loved one than deliberate deception.

We are born as innocent victims of a complicated struggle. If one is sufficiently fortunate to enter  into the world without a debilitating and or terminal disease.  If one is lucky enough to be born of responsible parents, willing to provide nurture, sustenance, suitable shelter, education, empathy for others,  and basic societal values, then the voyage can begin with love, trust and hope.

MY WIFE ANN MARIE USED TO SAY, "THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND NEVER EASY.”

 

There are pot holes, bumps, single lanes, detours, flagmen, heavy equipment, distracted and pedestrians that can slow you down, test your patience and lead you astray. Work hard and practice unselfishness. Fall in love, do no harm, avoid temptation, hatred, jealousy and  anger and be happy!

Always remember that leadership is not so much a matter of position as of disposition. 

A good relationship occurs  when someone accepts your past, supports your present and encourages your future. 

A true friend is one who knows all about you and likes you anyway.

In the eyes of others, nobody raises his own character by lowering that of another. 

The forgiver ends the problem.
