THE COMEBACK:

WHY DON’T YOU LOOK INTO THE FUTURE?

WELL I KNOW FOR SURE YOU’RE NOT IN MINE!
THE MESSAGE:
In my opinion we have a society that spends too much time living in the future. I do not advocate living in the past; however, I think the pendulum needs to swing back towards the centre. Is greed the overwhelming reason behind selfishness?
TONY TODAY:
Teacher and labour unions add too much cost to the essential services that their members provide. Consider the professional athletes who earn millions annually and say they need this because their careers are so short.
ARE ADS ON TELEVISION AN INSULT TO OUR INTELLIGENCE? DO THEY CATER TO OUR GREED?
We are bombarded with advertising. How much does advertising add to the final cost of the product to the consumer? Between 30 and 35 percent of TV ads are from car manufacturers and lottery promos.

Pharmaceutical companies convince us that they have products to cure all our ailments; however, they advise that you should check with your doctor because they could result in a plethora of side effects and even death.
Many Canadians have more money in insurance than in a savings account. We max out our credit cards and pay huge interest fees on the overdue balance.
Military budgets are huge. Some cities in the USA are entirely dependent on them. The world needs to eliminate corporate greed and worldly and civil conflicts. The focus should not require military action or concern about climate change! Rather our focus should be centred on compassion for the starving, the homeless, the unloved and the uneducated.
Governments don't create productive jobs. They create civil servants and many of their efforts are wasted time and money.
Governments don't create productive jobs. They create civil servants and many of their efforts are wasted time and money.
There can be no doubt that businesses create jobs. Governments should leave job creation to industry and business by removing barriers to expansion and privatizing much of our infrastructure. Let them refrain from handing out public monies to companies big or small. Entrepreneurs will find their own way to get the job done.
THE QUESTION:
Is Government too big in Canada?
