THE MESSAGE:
FOOD FOR THOUGHT ...AND ACTION
For example, Trudeau wants to smile and skirt issues and claim that our country is a “world leader” in green energy. He accepts dangerous immigrants, and returning ISIS fighters.
You may ask “what about the Environment?”
We are all primarily responsible for ourselves. When it comes to others we are responsible for the truth, our words and actions as well as some degree of empathy. Thankfully we are allowed this freedom in Canada. We are allowed the freedoms of speech, of prejudice, favourites and choice. Ideally we have been raised to make free choices and to be held accountable for these choices. What we are not allowed to do is to cause hurt or pain and suffering to others because of our prejudice and choices. Wise parents encourage their children to make choices. Mistakes result in learning as long as they have consequences and there is no repeated occurrence of the same bad choice.
THE BLURB:
In the Canadian democracy, our choices in voting for candidates, is often affected by the campaign strategy and propaganda of the various political parties that exist in the country and throughout the provinces.
We have a wide range of voter behaviour among our citizens.
- Some of them do not cast a ballot due to indifference.
- Some don't bother to vote because they don’t like the candidates.
- Some vote unintelligently because they haven’t read enough, listened carefully enough, experienced enough or haven’t been affected enough.
- Some vote from behind the bars of a prison
a free and progressive society by caring about what this country is doing.
For example, Trudeau wants to smile and skirt issues and claim that our country is a “world leader” in green energy. He accepts dangerous immigrants, and returning ISIS fighters.
We need firstly to educate ourselves on the important issues of Health, Safety, Education, Employment, Values, Respect for the Law, and Justice and Freedom for all Canadians. Only afterwards do we need to be aware of and care about world issues.
You may ask “what about the Environment?”
I believe in reforestation, air quality, conservation of resources and concern for wildlife, fresh water and food supplies; however, it is the environmental extremists that have the ear of our decision makers.
Let’s concentrate on advancing useful products, ideas and services instead of:
· Bigger governments and more civil servants
· New gadgets for cell phones
· Idiotic commercials and advertising
· Wind turbines that are costly and a health hazard
· Subsidies to private industry
We need development with proven overall benefits:
- Smaller, focused Government
- Energy harnessing and efficient storage
- Rapid transit and traffic co-ordination
- Community Care facilities
- Cost reduction in public services
- Fighting poverty in Canada
- More college apprenticeship programs
- Taxation reform
- More power to Municipality, less to Province
THE QUESTION:
Should politicians spend less time in parliament and more time in their ridings?
