LIFE; BLOG # 2111; NOV, 17,2017

THE MESSAGE:

What is our purpose in life? I suspect that mine is not found in trying to join a super star group such as,
THE WHO!

Formed in 1964. This classic line-up consisted of lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. They sold over 100 million records worldwide and created a huge demand for their live shows. Apparently Pete Townsend "can see for miles and miles..."

I know you've deceived me, now here's a surprise
I know that you have, 'cause there's magic in my eyes.
I can see for miles and miles and miles and miles and miles
Oh yeah.......

For me the lyrics of this classic provide a valuable clue when reflecting on interpersonal relationships. Deception is probably the most common cause for disillusionment and breakup. Respect and honour spring from trust. Violating a dear friend's trust is not a crime; however, there is no greater harm that can be done to a loved one than deliberate deception.

THE BLURB:

We are born as innocent victims of a complicated struggle. If one is sufficiently fortunate to enter  into the world without a debilitating and terminal disease  and lucky enough to be born of responsible parents, willing to provide nurture, sustenance, suitable shelter, education, empathy for others,  and basic societal values, then the voyage can begin with love, trust and hope.

THE ROAD TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

There are bumps, single lanes, detours, flagmen, heavy equipment that can slow you down, test your patience and lead you astray.

ALWAYS KEEP IN MIND!

Leadership is not so much a matter of position as of disposition.

He who throws mud loses some ground.

THE RELATIONSHIP HIGHWAY

A good relationship is when someone ACCEPTS your past, SUPPORTS your present and ENCOURAGES your future.

A true friend is one who knows all about you and likes you anyway.

A pint of example is worth 2 gallons of advice.

In the eyes of others, nobody raises his own persona by lowering that of another.

He who forgives ends the quarrel.

THE SUCCESS FREEWAY

Ideas won’t work unless you do.

It’s not the load that breaks you down, it’s the way you carry it.

Caution is sometimes overdone if it is not careless

THE PERSISTENCE PARKWAY

A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.

You can’t direct the wind, but you can adjust your sails.

Well done! is better than, Well said!

The pursuit of happiness is the chase of a lifetime.

If the going gets easy you may be going downhill.

Jumping to conclusions can be bad exercise.

Always investigate RISK vs REWARD.

Failure is the path of least persistence.

One who lacks courage to start has already finished.

A quitter never wins, A winner never quits. A coward never starts.

Impatient sometimes leads to in patient.

THE ROAD FOR ALL PEOPLE

Procrastination is the thief of time.

Dieters are people that are THICK and tired of it.

Some folks won’t look up until they are flat on their backs.

Money is a good servant but is a cruel master.

Birds have bills too YET they keep on singing.

Forbidden fruit is responsible for many a bad jam.

A hard thing about business is minding your own.

Minds are like parachutes, they function only when open.

A smile takes only 13 muscles; A frown takes 64.

A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

We lie loudest when we lie to ourselves.

Tact is the ability to see others as they wish to be seen.

Hug your kids often. Don't leave them alone in the car.

THE TRUEWAY THRUWAY

One thing you can give and still keep is your word.

Behavior is the mirror in which everyone shows their image.

When looking for faults use a mirror, not binoculars.

Make friends when you can before you need them.

The smallest good deed is better than the grandest intention.

Our favorite attitude should be gratitude.

The greatest of all faults is to imagine you have none.

Too many of us speak twice before we think.

Some people are always looking for trouble.

Action speaks louder than words but not nearly as often.

Break a bad habit – Drop it.

Past failures are guideposts for future success.

There is no right way to do a wrong thing and the end never justifies the means.

There can be no rainbow without a cloud and a storm.

Seek joy in what you give not in what you get.

Success comes in cans, Failure comes in can’ts.

Anger is one letter short of danger. Greatest remedy for anger is delay.

Having a sharp tongue can cut your own throat.

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.

THE QUESTION:

What are some factors that cause people to take the wrong path to happiness and success?

THE LEMON:
Awarded to Zachary Koehn and Cheyanne Harris of New Hampton, Iowa.  Authorities have charged them with murder in the death of their 4-month-old son, whose maggot-infested body was found in a baby swing in the family's home. He had been there for a week with an unchanged diaper!
