FACISM???: BLOG # 2112; NOV 24,2017

THE MESSAGE:

Today, the word ‘fascism’ has become synonymous with political thuggery and persecution. It wasn’t always like that.

THE BLURB:

Back in the 1930s tens of thousands of ordinary British people joined the British Union of Fascists because they believed that it alone could solve the problems of widespread hunger, slum housing and the threat of world war. Most were motivated by high idealism and when you read ‘Fascism for the Million’ you can begin to understand why. It was written by Oswald Mosley – the Movement’s charismatic leader and former Minister in the pre-War Labour Government.

Mosley had brains, courage and was acknowledged to be the finest orator in Britain. In this book he condemns the evil of ‘financial democracy’ that allowed global capitalists to live in luxury whilst fellow countrymen and women sweated to feed their families on minimum wages.
He also explains how his British Corporate State would empower working people, offer women the freedom to realise their full potential and prevent economic recession from putting millions of unemployed on the dole ever again.

Mosley argues that Fascism was for the Millions – not the Millionaires.

ANTIFA

BATTLE OF CABLE STREET, LONDON,  OCTOBER 4, 1936,

Zionists, Socialists, Irish dockworkers, Communists, anarchists, and various outraged residents of London’s East End gathered to prevent Oswald Mosley and his British Union of Fascists from marching through their neighbourhood.

The protesters blockaded thousands of Fascist Black Shirts and police officers. To stop the march, they exploded homemade bombs and hurled rocks, brickbats, shaken-up lemonade bottles, and the contents of chamber pots at the marchers. Mosley and his men were forced to retreat.

Mark Bray is a historian of human rights, terrorism, and political radicalism in Modern Europe. He completed his PhD in Modern European and Women's and Gender History at Rutgers University in 2016.

In “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook,” He presents the Battle of Cable Street as a potent example of how to stop Fascism: a strong, unified coalition that outnumbered and humiliated Fascists to such an extent that their movement fizzled. Bray encourages people to fight fire with fire.

Antifa activists believe that Fascists forfeit their rights to speak and assemble when they deny those same rights to others through violence and intimidation.

CHARLOTTESVILLE VA.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, speaking at a prayer rally in Charlottesville, renewed his calls for white supremacists to leave the city in the wake of violence.

THE SKIRMISH

Counter protesters met white nationalists and other right-wing groups at the site of Saturday's "Unite the Right" event hours before the rally was set to start. Clashes broke out, and police began to disperse crowds. Local officials declared the supremest's rally an "unlawful assembly," and the governor declared a state of emergency. About two hours later, a gray Dodge Challenger rammed into a crowd of counter protesters walking down a street in downtown Charlottesville. One person was killed and 30 injured The driver slammed the car in reverse and fled the scene backward. The suspected driver was arrested later that afternoon.

Governor McAuliffe denounced the people who had come to this college town for a "Unite the Right"y he went further. rally, saying they weren't the patriots they make themselves out to be. "They get out of bed every day to hate people and divide our country."  McAuliffe told the demonstrators to go home. Later he said,  "Let's be honest, they need to leave America, because they are not Americans."
U.S. Vice President, Mike Spence added, "We have no tolerance for hate and violence from white supremacists, neo-Nazis or the KKK,"
"These dangerous fringe groups have no place in American public life and in the American debate and we condemn them in the strongest possible terms."

ANTIFA IN CANADA

Antifa is typically American; however, since Canada has its share of idiots and bigots as well, they have spread  north to fight their enemies and bring facists to their knees.

Antifa is active in Canada due to the rise of White Supremacist organizations such as the Heritage Front, Aryan Guard, Canadian Heritage Alliance and etc., who are attacking the rights and intimidating Canadian citizens and most notably immigrants. The seat of white hate in Canada is mostly prominent in Quebec with hubs in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta.
