REPORT FROM THE CONFERENCE BOARD OF CANADA
When it comes to reducing energy consumption and environmental performance, Canada has earned a grade of 'C' from the Conference Board of Canada (CBOC). They use 14 indicators ranging from air quality to biodiversity.
SOME FACTS
According to the World Health Organization, Canada where 78% of its people live in cities, ranks 13th best in the world in terms of Air Quality.

COULD THIS BE THE CONFERENCE BOARD? GUESS WHAT'S IN THE WHEEL BARROW! |

Biodiversity tends to be highest at low latitudes near the equator, which seems to be the result of the warm climate and high primary productivity). DUH! HOW FAR ARE WE FROM THE EQUATOR? LET'S MEASURE IT ANYWAY!
HERE IS THE CBCO'S REPORT CARD

Surrounding this issue, they are certainly not a Think Tank! They don't think, they lobby. Most of their statements are filled with outdated statistics, and ignore the real truth.
Len Coad, Director of Energy, Environment and Technology Policy at the Conference Board,
Canadians threw out more trash per capita than any of their counterparts in the report. Waste disposal rates were sometimes more than double the numbers posted by much more densely populated countries such as Japan. (Who keeps track of this and why is it a factor?) The vast majority of the country’s garbage found its way into landfills or incinerators. This seems trivial compared to the damage done in Japan with its nuclear power plant disaster! or to the water table by manure spreading farms. Consider the findings from the Walkerton Inquiry.

OK GUYS, NO MORE POOPING UNTIL WE GET SEWERS EVERYWHERE! |
CBOC cites Canada's high consumption rates as an issue. “Consumption is the sole end and purpose of all production,” Adam Smith wrote more than two centuries ago." (I wonder how these 'thinkers' heat their houses on cold winter days; or feed their families; or earn their income.) CBOC further claims that Canada's prominent role as an oil and gas exporter is a reason for low rankings on air quality. Apparently this is a big reason the CBOC ranks our country so poorly. Are we supposed to cut back on our resource development and the jobs created by these industries in order to be more like......
FRANCE
Where workers are constantly on strike, businesses are held hostage to all powerful unions, and free enterprise is virtually impossible.
Or.......
JAPAN?

More Bull shit from CBOC :
Canada is one of the world’s highest greenhouse gas emitters, the Conference Board said. Forget about the volcanic eruptions in Iceland; we won't include it in our study!
In fact, Canada’s per capita emissions have decreased five per cent between 1990 and 2010, but the report said, the country has not kept pace with countries that have taken a more proactive approach to the issue (Suzuki make me pukee) . (Like China and India with a combined total of 2.5 billion people????? and very poor performance regarding air quality!

Canada also turned in low scores on more specific air emissions, such as nitrogen, sulphur and volatile organic compounds, the report said. According to Prof. Ross McKitrik, specialist in Environmental Economics, U of Guelph, this ranking is totally misleading and irresponsible. The so-called scientists pay little attention to his findings and analysis because they interfere with their agenda to support the green movement and provide them with a reason for obtaining grant money.....SHAME!

Canada’s environmental woes also extended to the country’s water supply, the Conference Board said. While overall water quality earned a fourth place ranking, water consumption was much more problematic. Canada uses twice as much water as the average for countries taking part in the report. (We need to hose off our rooftops often because of all the bull crap being spread by Suzuki and other alarmists). Canada earned the second lowest score in that category, the Conference Board said.
Canada did manage to post some strong scores in areas related to use of forest resources and threatened species protection, but Coad said these results emphasize the need for Canadians to weigh the consequences of their environmental practices. (We just can't win. Why not ask these clowns to go live in Japan?)
