THE COMEBACK:

GET OFF THE POT!

WHAT’S THE ALTERNATIVE?

THE MESSAGE:

WHY DO PEOPLE PROTEST?

Do they truly believe the cause to which they march, sit in or blockade? Do they receive any compensation? Have they been recruited by relatives, friends, emotional loss, local media, social media or other brainwashers? Are they sad and lonely and join up to the cause in order to feel wanted?

ARE PROTESTS EFFECTIVE?

When teachers go on strike and cause schools to close with great inconvenience to the general public, are they helping their cause? Are they depriving students of extra curricular programs in which they have invested much time and energy? In considering the general balance of life sustainability in society does the observing public believe that they are truly deserving of extra salaries and benefits?

Do auto workers support the unions that argue for more and in so doing drive the manufacturers out of the country in order to save on costs?

THE BLURB:

Thousands of Canadian school children will be exposed to rhetoric that may frighten them and cause them undue stress as they attend the various Global Climate Strike rallies taking part across the country. University classes are being cancelled and school boards are sending permission slips home asking parents to allow their kids to attend one of these rallies. Parents should pay close attention to what will be happening in schools. While most parents are likely comfortable with their children being taught the basics of environmentalism – don’t littler, don’t pollute – these rallies go way beyond that. Climate activism heavily overlaps with political and ideological rhetoric.

Many applaud Greta Thunberg’s activism and passion; however, it has not come without its personal costs.

She began suffering from depression as a child. She revealed that it developed partly from learning about climate change when she was eight years old. Thunberg was later diagnosed with autism and obsessive compulsive disorder and gradually became despondent as she obsessed over her fear of climate change. She developed mutism and an eating disorder so severe that she once went two months without food, and refused to go to school.

There is also a political element to climate strikes. U.S. Congesswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Canadian celebrity Naomi Klein make it clear they want to use the climate change issue to herald a socialist revolution. At many gatherings on these issues, they are the voices.

THE QUESTION:

How many protesters have been brainwashed?
