THE SPREAD OF EVIL; BLOG # 2182; FRI APRIL 05, 2019

THE MESSAGE:

Whatever the concept it always seems to evolve into something that was perhaps unintended, or somewhat selfish or even easy to exploit. Evil is a powerful enemy. Tony’s mantra: Use free will but do no harm!

THE BLURB:

THE SEX TRADE

It is interesting to posit that paying for sex is a perfect example of needs. Take the man who is desperate and unloved. He is driving down the street at night and is approached by a truly seductive young woman. They find a place to satisfy their different needs. He releases his pent up loneliness and she earns some money to meet her expenses. Does this require a law to prevent its recurrence? On the surface the answer would appear to be a resounding ’No sir’!

ABUSERS:

Who let these guys in? Here are 8 pictures of men who committed sexual abuse against others.

Enter the ‘Pimp' who has a different motivation. He sees the opportunity for a profitable business. All that is required is to corral as many  desperate women into his clammy reaches by employing different tactics of persuasion and force. Perhaps he sets up a bawdy house with a paid female accomplice who runs the place as his matron. Supposedly this aide looks after the welfare of her underlings and the arrangements required for a copacetic environment.

The Pimp and Matron see the need to expand their business. They are abetted by international criminal gangs. They need more females to service their clients. Enter the ‘women trafficker' and all the associated consequences. Now evil has  taken over and  it would seem that the simple meeting described above has become much more complicated, necessitating the introduction of some sort of justice system.

POLITICS:

A young candidate is inspired to run for parliament in an effort to help fellow citizens make decisions that will be for the benefit of all.  This person joins a  ‘party for the people’ and is elected at age 25 by the constituents because of an abundance of enthusiasm, vision and honesty. The years and elections roll by and the middle aged politician has been re-elected several times due to experience and supposed wisdom.

A decision is made to switch allegiance to a different party because  of its apparent popularity. To hell with  constituents' beliefs, I want to be re-elected so I move right or left to win the favour of the voters.

Along the way it was believed to be acceptable to fudge personal expenses, cater to relatives and accept a little payoff to enhance a generous salary.

Evil and greed have crept into the equation.

POVERTY

A young male is born of a single, teenaged  mother. The over generous government increases the welfare payment for the family. The young child, without a suitable male role model, grows up on the street and joins a gang.

He sees others who are preoccupied  with possessions. His life spirals out of control. He quits school, learns to steal, gets a gun and eventually is jailed or dies at the hands of the police. Evil triumphs once again!

WAR

Let’s face it. History records  two world wars along with civil wars, imperial pursuits and insurrections. Many have occurred because of ruthless dictators who value human lives as expendable tools for their own aggrandizement. Others are perpetrated due to the search for selfish gains and influence.

RELIGION

As life goes on it seems quite obvious that religion is replete with people who are dedicated to beliefs that may or may not be acceptable to many ’non believers’. The resulting world situation has been and continues to be affected by the consequences of extreme cultures and thoughts. Who is going to heaven? Who is going to hell?  As Marx posed, Religion is indeed the opium of the masses!

THE QUESTION:

Is there any chance for mankind with its  many different cultures and structures to unite through peaceful means and concepts?

LEMON:
Awarded to  Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe.
He was the champion of greed and self importance. Responsible for the loss of thousands of human lives.
