THE COMEBACK:

THE MESSAGE:
MORAL CODES
The dictionary defines morals as lessons concerned with the principles of right and wrong behaviour and the goodness or badness of human character.
Once again the topic must be examined keeping in mind the following situations. If a child is unplanned or unwanted or the product of a single parent household does the child have any chance to develop a code of morals? Consider the role played by a single mother. In some countries 'baby mommas' are encouraged by a girl’s mother or aunt in order to receive more subsidy from the government.
The girl, more than likely, has a daytime committment. Who is responsible for the nurture and care giving of this child during the schooling or working hours of the mother?
The problem is exacerbated by the absence of a father who should provide a good example of ethics, hard work, compassion, self reliance, goal setting and time spent with the child.
Most people tend to act morally and follow societal guidelines. Morality often requires that people sacrifice their own short-term interests for the benefit of society. People or entities that are indifferent to right and wrong are considered amoral, while those who do evil acts are considered immoral.
If there exists neighbourhoods filled with families deprived of a suitable code of morals and character; then it follows, that the larger community must step up to help these families. If there is no intervention by society as a whole; then it also follows, that bad behaviours will dominate and cause so many issues!
TONY TODAY:
Is society’s biggest problem racism, indifference, impatience, ignorance, idiocy, irresponsibility, hatred etc, or some combination of the above?
Integrity is a word that we hear almost every day but we seldom take the time to think about it. Integrity is similar to ethics, honesty, and trustworthiness—they are a moral code of values that affect our behavior. Integrity is about doing the right thing in every situation, whether it’s convenient or not.
The world is so competitive that some people will lie, cheat, cajole, scam and bribe to achieve their objectives. Integrity becomes paramount. People who don’t want to be called out by social media, public protests or the courts will need to account for their lack of integrity and moral codes to a far greater degree today than they have in days gone by. Politicians, professionals, leaders, sporting heroes and business owners must realize and accept that their behaviours are held to a higher standard of integrity than other members of society. Brainwashing becomes an important tool wether or not it is intentional! History, as a teacher, is manipulated to emphasize injustice everywhere.
