A CLOSED MIND; BLOG # 2114; DEC 08, 2017

THE MESSAGE:

Men and women hate  others for many reasons.

It is a common belief that the reality underlying hatred  includes the fact that humans can be subdivided into distinct groups due to their social behaviour and their innate abilities. It is also true that they can easily be ranked as inferior or superior.

Radicals need to be dealt with somehow. Whether the hatred springs from differences in tribes, cultures, skin colour, religious beliefs, behaviours, politics, economics, philosophy, goals, neighbourhoods, jealousy or fantasy only serves to point out how easy it is to become radicalized.

The media intentionally inflames anger and is largely responsible for racist hatred. It reports that minorities are killed by police but ignores the fact that more whites are killed by them. Today we see how some deliberately inflame racial or political tensions to satisfy their own goal to sell 'the news'.

In order for humans to coexist, there needs to be some willingness between individuals to maintain an open mind that will accept different ideas.

THE BLURB:

Having an open mind can be somewhat of a challenge; however, the effort to embrace new ideas will be worth it when you're able to realize the benefits that come from opening your mind.

Allowing yourself to experience new ideas and thoughts by  challenging the beliefs you currently have can be very liberating. Here I present a group that is talented and willing to move onward and upward!

Developing an open-minded view of the world, allows one to admit that you don't know everything and that there are possibilities you may not have considered. It provides a platform on which one can build. Everything you experience can add up and develop, strengthening what you believe in and who you are.

Opening your mind to new ideas allows one to take advantage of the opportunity to change what you think and how you view the world. When you live with an open mind, you develop a strong sense of self. You are not confined by your own beliefs or those of others. This understanding creates an underlying sense of honesty that permeates the character of anyone who lives with an open mind.

THE QUESTION:

What additional benefits can be found from opening the mind to new ideas?

THE QUOTE:

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." Aristotle

THE LEMON:

Awarded to professional agitator Desmond Cole, (Black Lives Matter) for closed minded preaching and political correctness.
