THE MESSAGE;
We live in a world that is filled with comparisons that force us to 'shake our heads'. Imagine a philosopher 50 years hence trying to come to grips with the 'Human Condition'.
HE WRITES, THE YEAR IS 2017.
Morals are noble but Crimes prevail.
Pockets are deep but Acceptance is shallow.
Wisdom exists but Ignorance flourishes.
Possessions are prized but Cultures are shunned.
Rumours are swallowed but Facts are ignored.
Hate abounds but True Love is hard to find.
Gadgets are collected but Time is thrown away.
Fashion is cherished but Character wanes.
Conflict is everywhere but Resolution hides its head.
Knowledge is sacred but Understanding is for the dogs.
Nature is king but Man is a rebel.
Minds can be dirty but Brains are washed.
Selling is loud but Buying is louder.
More is less but Less is more.
Governments are big but Media is bigger.
THE BLURB:
It seems that it takes a widespread tragedy to bring out the best in mankind. The latest natural disaster in Texas is a case in point. People have come together in an attempt to help those afflicted survive and recover. And yet in the face of much charity, police in the afflicted areas are forced to contend with 'looting losers''. Taking food to feed one's family may be forgiven; however, stealing electronic equipment and other such hard goods is surely not! Thank goodness there are more good people in this world than bad.
THE QUESTION:
Has the world's opinion of Trump been affected by distraction on the part of the media?
THE QUOTE:
THE LEMON:
Awarded to DESMOND COLE, for accepting money for opening his rather large yap to complain of phoney racist issues perpetrated by society in its attempt to solve the criminal issues that exist.
