GROWING UP; BLOG # 2044; AUG 05,2016

THE MESSAGE:

Young children have a myriad of needs that must be satisfied in order for them to grow up to become productive Canadian citizens?  Below are some obvious answers. The lists may not be complete or in some cases disputable. One fact that cannot be disputed  is that the responsibility associated with bringing young souls into this world lies with the parents.

THE BLURB:

PHYSICAL NEEDS

  • A decent, clean shelter
  •  Regular meals and routines
  • A non-violent neighbourhood
  • Clean, safe schools with excellent teachers
  • A safe place to play

Aside from physical needs and no less important are the emotional concerns that are vital to good health and development:

EMOTIONAL NEEDS

  • Responsible parent(s)
  • never put their child in a position where they must choose which parent they love.
  • A stable home . Provide an environment that caters to familial love.

  • Safe friends

  • Role models. It is almost impossible for a single parent, who has been abandoned by his or her partner, to provide adequate role models.

One must also consider the spiritual needs of young children.

SPIRITUAL NEEDS
  • An appreciation of different cultures fosters a personality that can think of solutions without hatred.

  • Some notion of  reflection on concepts that are difficult to understand is important
  • Some understanding of the concept of 'soul'
  • Hope for the future
I believe the most crucial needs are found in the sphere of personality needs.

PERSONALITY NEEDS
  • Self confidence
  • Codes of behaviours
  • The ability to think
  • Decision making
  • Problem solving
  • The ability to love

THE QUESTIONS:

How does one account for the development of certain individuals who may grow up to become sociopaths, serial killers, abusers, rapists, thieves etc.? What  needs remained unsatisfied in their difficult journey to adulthood?

What deficiencies existed in the creation of individuals who grew up to become relentless racists, self-righteous exploiters, evil extremists, hate-filled hooligans, sexist pigs, unscrupulous morons or pitiless bullies?

THE LEMON:

SERIOUSLY?

This weeks lemon is awarded to Shanty Lo who sired 11 children with 10 different ''baby mammas. "I'm taking care of my kids." the rapper declares.

THE QUOTE:

"Every child has a microscope through which he/she observes how Dad and Mom live. And, they take very good notes! Teach your children by your excellent example what a great marriage looks like. "I'm Watching you Daddy & Mommy" MatthewLJacobson
