THE FOLLY
INDUSTRY ONTARIO'S BOB CHIARELLI

With the Governments energy plan, Ontario’s electricity setup has resulted in a huge setback for manufacturing and industry. Costs are forced upon businesses and consumers in order to pay for expensive wind and solar production that is not as reliable as forecast.  Subsidies are flowing everywhere, some to producers outside of Canada, all paid for by provincial electricity users. Meanwhile, Ontario exports cheap surplus power to the United States and Quebec.

AN ONTARIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SURVEY

The results show that one in 20 businesses in the province expect to close their doors in the next five years due to rising electricity prices.  In addition, 38 per cent will see their bottom line shrink, with the cost of electricity delaying or cancelling investment in the years to come.

This is a marked contrast to how affordable hydro powered the province’s economy over the last century or so.  In the past, the strength and reliability of the system and the low price of electricity contributed to the province’s competitive advantage. However, these days Ontario is no longer a low-cost electricity jurisdiction.

THE QUESTION:

Why is Toronto so bad at managing when it comes to politics, hockey and traffic control?

THE LEMON:

ONTARIO'S 24TH
PREMIER

To Uncle Dalty for his lame brain policies and disguising them as 'PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER'.
Green Energy is as futile as believing the oceans are becoming acidic because of CO2 emissions.
