FROM EASTERN EUROPE
In an effort to preserve the pro-Russian revolt in eastern Ukraine, Russia reinforced what Western and Ukrainian officials described as a stealth invasion on Wednesday, by sending armoured troops across the border as it expanded the conflict to a new section of Ukrainian territory.Russia admits its soldiers have been caught in Ukraine fighting with pro-Moscow rebels. NATO plans to deploy its forces at new bases in eastern Europe in response to the crisis in Ukraine and in an attempt to deter Vladimir Putin from causing trouble in the former Soviet Baltic republics.
Poland and the three Baltic states have been alarmed at the perceived threat from Russia and have been clamouring for a stronger Nato presence in the region. They have criticized what they see as tokenism in the alliance's response so far.
The issue of permanent Nato bases in east Europe is a divisive one. The Americans and British are supportive of the eastern European demands.
The Italians, French and Spanish are opposed
The Germans are apparently sitting on the fence, wary of provoking Russia.

is about to meet with Russia's Putin for the purpose of solving the conflict but two leaders seem to have little common ground to bring to the table. Which finger is that Vladimir?
MEANWHILE FROM IRAN
Iranian military leaders on Tuesday vowed that Tehran would take military action against Israel in response to an alleged Israeli drone that was shot down in Iran on Sunday. Iran “will not give a diplomatic response,” but will air its grievances with Israel on the “battlefield,” senior Iranian generals were quoted as saying on Tuesday.
Iran announced that they had used a surface-to-air missile to shoot down an Israeli Hermes 450 unmanned plane. The drone was allegedly on its way to the Natanz nuclear enrichment site, which is believed to be part of Iran’s clandestine attempts to build a nuclear weapon.

On a somewhat less controversial note, An Iranian Grand Ayatollah has said high speed internet is unethical and contrary to humanitarian principles, Iranian media sources reported on Tuesday. In addition to his opposition to the internet, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, whose ancestors were Jewish converts to Shi'ite Islam, has also referred to the Holocaust as, “nothing but superstition.”

Obama dropped the ball with the prisoner exchange. He was wrong to trade five hardened terrorists from the prison at Guantanamo Bay for a deserter.
On Megyn's show Bergdahl's combat comrades all agreed, they are speaking out to get to the truth and to express their outrage at Bergdahl's parents being honoured in a Rose Garden appearance with President Obama.
Six soldiers who served in the same platoon as Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl in Afghanistan expressed anger, sadness and outrage over what they said unequivocally was Bergdahl’s willful desertion five years ago. One told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, “We would all die for him and he left.”
When asked by Kelly on “The Kelly File” if they thought Bergdahl had deserted their platoon, all six men raised their hands. They also all agreed Bergdahl should be court-martialed and tried for desertion, saying this is not about politics.
THE MICHAEL BROWN CONTROVERSY
On the surface, the cases appear nearly identical: Michael Brown, was a black man, shot and killed by a 'White cop" in Missouri.
Dillon Taylor, a white man, was shot and killed by a 'Black cop' in Utah.
Two young, unarmed men with sketchy criminal pasts were shot to death by police officers two days apart. But while the world knows of the highly publicized situation in Missouri involving 18-year-old Brown, most people outside of Utah have never heard of 20-year-old Dylan Taylor.
Talk-show host Rush Limbaugh blamed the discrepancy between the two cases on “the liberal world view” that portrays whites as oppressors and blacks as victims. On his national radio show he said, “In the current climate in the United States, a black person can never be the oppressor, and a white person can never be a victim,” 
Al Sharpton, speaking at Monday’s funeral service for Brown, attacked local policing methods in the case and the militarization of local police forces. He used his best Baptist Minister's mannerisms to decry the fact that the world is watching as blacks have no sense of liberty in America. This man is doing his utmost to keep the racial divide alive and himself on the front page of the news.OH.....BAH....MAH
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration is working to forge a sweeping international climate change agreement to compel nations to cut their planet-warming fossil fuel emissions, but without ratification from Congress.
In preparation for this agreement, to be signed at a 2015 United Nations summit meeting in Paris; negotiators are meeting with diplomats from other countries to broker a deal to commit some of the world’s largest economies to enact laws to reduce their carbon pollution. Under the Constitution, a president may enter into a legally binding treaty only if it is approved by a two-thirds majority of the Senate.
To sidestep that requirement, President Obama’s climate negotiators are devising a “politically binding” deal that would “name and shame” countries into cutting their emissions. The deal is likely to face strong objections from Republicans and poor countries around the world.

Warren Buffett is an investor in Burger King's plan to acquire Tim Hortons. This adds much credibility to the company plans to relocate in Canada. Apparently the motivation behind the deal is to move the Burger King head offices to Canada in order to take advantage of the lower Canadian Corporate tax rate.
