BLOG NUMBER 94; WHY OH WHY? August 30,2013

DID YOU EVER WONDER WHY? OF COURSE YOU DID!

CONSIDER THIS WEEK'S NEWS STORIES:

CHARGES LAID AGAINST ONTARIO COUPLE AFTER 40 PYTHONS FOUND IN MOTEL.

Watch out for snakes dear!

BRANTFORD, Ont. — A southern Ontario couple has been charged with animal cruelty after 40 ball python snakes and five eggs were found in a motel room.

The Ontario SPCA said Friday the snakes were dehydrated, and didn’t have water or enough space. The snakes’ owners weren’t there when the animals were found, but the SPCA said they later surrendered their pets to investigators. --NatPost

I DON'T HATE THEM! BUT...........

What is the fascination with exotic snakes? Do these people hide them in rock piles? Do they like a single snake or a bag full? Are they planning an airplane movie?

A PIPELINE THAT'S GOOD FOR CANADA..... (We want our share!)

Pictured here Ontario Finance Minister Bob Chiarelli
"What wasted money? Oh forget that. Give us another shot, and some pipe profits."
Last year, the former Liberal premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, weighed into the debate by arguing that the high Canadian dollar that results from energy exports is bad for Ontario’s manufacturing sector. “If I had my preferences as to whether we had a rapidly growing oil and gas sector in the West or a lower dollar, I’ll tell you where I stand: with the lower dollar,” he said.
Mr. McGuinty eventually changed his mind, perhaps having realized that since Ontario manufactures much of the machinery used to develop Alberta’s oil resources, holding up the construction of new pipelines would be counterproductive. But now that he is out of office and his successors are facing the very real prospect of Alberta oil flowing through their backyard, the Ontario Liberals appear to be adopting strategies developed by their West Coast cousins. --NatPost

I DON'T HATE ONTARIO LIBERALS! BUT...........

Whatever happened to the concept of Country first? Canada came together with a promise that Confederation would benefit all regions. We built a trans-Canada railway to unite the various interests. Now narrow-thinking provincial governments want a slice of the pie and resist future development unless they get it. This Eastern pipe line would be a boon for the entire country.

JAMAICAN FRAUD ARTIST ORDERED DEPORTED IN 2001 AND STILL IN CANADA.
I'm not going! I'M A LESBIAN

Sandra Marcia Gordon is a career criminal, a master con woman with dozens of convictions on her rap sheet, including theft, art fraud, counterfeiting and possession of stolen property, fraud and obstruction of justice. She is also a habitual liar: claiming fictional children, changing identities hourly on occasions and at one point even gave a storage locker as her current address to an immigration hearing. One thing she is not is a Canadian citizen. She came to Canada from Jamaica in 1972 as a young girl. So in 2001, citing her criminal history, the government ordered Gordon deported. Twelve years later, she is still in the country, appealing and re-appealing every step of the deportation process.--NatPost

I DON'T HATE HER! BUT...........

Who is the lawyer(s) jamming the process with these idiotic appeals. She is not deserving of  Canadian status. ENOUGH ALREADY! Send her back to Jamaica with the lawyer on whom she is riding. I would willingly pay her airfare!

JOURNALIST GANG RAPED IN MUMBAI; WHILE COLLEAGUE TIED UP AND BEATEN.

Women protesting in Mumbai against rape of women

The victim, a 22-year-old Indian woman, remained in a hospital Saturday and was recovering well after being repeatedly raped by five men Thursday night in a deserted textile mill, said Mumbai’s police commissioner, Satyapal Singh. She and a male colleague, who was tied up and beaten during the attack, had been on a magazine assignment as interns, taking photographs of a south Mumbai neighbourhood where upscale malls, trendy restaurants and luxury condominiums sit alongside sprawling slums and abandoned mills.--TorStar

I DON'T HATE THEM! BUT...........

Mumbai is a good place to stay away from. Particularly if you are a female working on a project in a shady district. Getting photos and news stories is decidedly not worth putting your life, your mental health or dignity at risk!

IS THERE A CASE FOR SEXY TEEN SLEEPOVERS?

If the room is a rockin’ …should mom and dad be okay with it? If you have a teenager, you’re probably aware that he or she could be having sex, but is it a parent’s job to facilitate nocturnal relations under the family roof? The topic of sexy adolescent sleepovers was unpacked in a recent New York Times column (“Sex in a Teenager’s Room?”) by Henry Alford. In it, the author lands on the classically Edwardian approach wherein mom and dad go to bed and let the chips (or, in this case, the limber teenage bodies) fall where they may. For some parents, a don’t ask/don’t tell policy is attractive in that it negates the need for awkward discussion, though a refusal to deal in realities is probably not the best parental policy. I DON'T HATE PARENTS! BUT...........

In our society today, a teenager is damned if they do and also if they do not. Some parents allow their teens to have sleep-overs with a 'steady friend' after they have demonstrated maturity and commitment over several months. Many are totally protective of their teens when it comes to being sexually active. They are at odds with the concepts of raging hormones, safe sex, abstinence and morals. Schools provide 'Sex-Ed' courses, Social media provide easy access, TV, Music & Movies provide graphic stimuli. Teens need to feel safe enough to let parents know their issues, what they are feeling and what their friends are up to. This allows parents to have more influence and control over what they do.

Some Dutch teenagers went so far as to express their ideas about sex and love in self-consciously traditional terms; one Dutch boy said the advantage of spending the night with a partner was that it was “Like Mom and Dad, like when you’re married, you also wake up next to the person you love.”Sexual maturation is awkward and difficult. The Dutch experience suggests that it is possible for families to stay connected when teenagers start having sex, and that if they do, the transition into adulthood need not be so painful for parents or children.--NYTimes

CANADIANS HURRYING TO SYRIA IN RECORD NUMBERS TO JOIN REBELS

Young Canadians are hurrying to Syria in record numbers to join rebels in their fight against the Assad regime, raising fears among security services at home about Al Qaeda’s access to Western recruits. It is estimated that at least 100 Canadians — mainly in their 20s and coming from Ontario and Alberta — have left for Syria in the past year, joining a steady march of foreigners drawn to the conflict, security sources say.
“Our government is acutely aware of this issue,” said Frederik Boisvert, spokesman for Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney, noting Ottawa passed the COMBATING TERRORISM ACT, in April,  which makes it a crime to leave the country — or even attempt to — to engage in terrorist activities.--TorStar

I DON'T HATE THEM! BUT...........

I do agree with the Act against terrorism. Nothing can justify the deliberate murder of innocent civilians. Neither do I support military intervention by super powers. It is understandable that a young Canadian , with ties to relatives in Syria, would feel compelled to act in the face of 'gas warfare'. However, if he or she is a Canadian, their allegiance must be to the laws of this country. Influence, economics and politics dominate the issue and provide no solutions. One thing is clear.  The 'West' cannot win in this Civil War. The rebels are backed by Al Qaeda on one side and The regime is backed by Iran on the other.

TWO TEENS KILLED IN SHOOTING NEAR JANE-FINCH

TORONTO - Two teenaged boys — aged 15 and 16 — were gunned down in a community housing complex near Jane St. and Finch Ave. W. around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

One died on scene and was identified by shocked friends as O’She Doyles-Whyte, a 16-year-old who worked at a nearby summer camp. The second teen, identified by friends as Kwame Duodu, succumbed to his injuries in hospital a few hours later.--TorSun

HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND......

The murderers escaped from the scene on bicycles. Were there no witnesses? Someone must know who they are. When will it end? Lord take the hatred and fear from their hearts! Do souls ever grow weary at the constant barrage of shootings and the lack of empathy within the community?  A parent(s) must know that their kids belong to gangs. Have they ever take care to teach them how to avoid a violent and unproductive life? Re parents complicit? Do they share in the benefits obtained through illegitimate children or dealing in guns and drugs? Does welfare really help them or does it enable them to pursue a life of immoral behaviour?

BOMBINGS STRIKE LEBANON

Mosques Are Targeted in Growing Violence

Political analysts expressed fear that a broad section of the region stretching from the Mediterranean east to Baghdad and beyond was becoming a battleground between Sunnis and Shiites, the major Islamic sects. Many said the Tripoli bombings would not go unanswered.  The tumult roiling the Arab world had already severed the lifeline between the Palestinian militant group Hamas and two of its most important patrons, Iran and Syria.
Now, the dismantling of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood by the new military-backed government that ousted the Islamist president has Hamas reeling without crucial economic and diplomatic support. Over the past two weeks, a “crisis cell” of ministers has met daily. With Gaza’s economy facing a $250 million shortfall since Egypt shut down hundreds of smuggling tunnels, the Hamas government has begun to ration some resources. --NYTimes

Religion: more than a way of life? People are brainwashed to a cause. Who decides the reasons? Is the objective to save souls, spread dogma, feed the hungry, gain influence, collect monies, control masses, destroy the oppressor, win acceptance, promote love, respect, understanding and peace, do away with hatred, realize self-gratification and righteousness, eliminate the fear of mortality etc.?
Did Moses foresee any of the following?: Muslims proclaiming 'Allahu akbar';  today's kids saying 'goddammit'; Sunday NHL hockey games with fights; Adam Lanza not honouring but shooting his mother and blacks calling everyone a MOFU; Obama's drone attacks with collateral damage; Pinocchio's nose and Jesse Jackson's hypocrisy;  the affairs of Bill Clinton, Prince Charles or Tiger Woods; 'Cougars' coveting thy neighbour's husbandBernie Madoff's 'Ponzi Scheme'; or the phenomenon of home invasions.

PETER MacKAY BEER BONG PHOTO
Tweeted by Rick Mercer after MacKay's criticism of Trudeau using pot. The press could hardly wait to jump on this. The opposition parties were licking their chops, Conservatives were 'hating every moment of it.'
EXPLANATION: That's not a bong! The guy raising his glass hit my beer bottle and broke it while I was taking a sip. I held the pose for emphasis. That's why the guy at the back is smiling

5 BODIES OF KIDNAPPED YOUTHS

Relatives of twelve missing people who disappeared in Mexico City's Zona Rosa neighborhood on May 26, 2013, attend a news conference about the discovery of a mass grave.
At least five of the bodies found this week in a shallow grave near Mexico City are those of 12 teens who were kidnapped from a bar three months ago. Will there ever be any understanding of why this happened? Stay away from Mexico!

BLUE JAYS JOHN GIBBONS.

TONY ORDERED HIM FIRED IN APRIL 2013 AND HE IS STILL IN A CANADIAN DUGOUT!

IF YOU SEE HIM, DO NOT APPROACH HIM. CALL PAUL BEESTON TO REPORT THE SIGHTING.
BOLO!  UNARMED BUT STILL DANGEROUS
I DON'T HATE HIM! BUT...........

As of Aug 24, 9 AM the Blue Jays under his tenure (certainly not leadership) Gibbons record is 57 wins and 72 losses for a .442 winning percentage. 17 1/2 games out of first place and 15 games below .500 in a season were the BLUE JAYS were projected to be World Series contenders. ANTHOPOULOS refuses to turf him and says he'll be back next year. Beeston, Please intervene!

A manager needs to be pro-active in getting players ready to perform at a high level. His tactical approach must exude self-confidence and total commitment. He must be able to transfer this to his team. Coaches must help with this and be on top of fundamental performance. I think they have talent but lack that winning combination of focus and determination. These qualities need to be reflected in a leader who is capable of inspiring and gaining the players' trust, loyalty and admiration.

QUESTION: ARE THERE EVER VALID EXCUSES FOR HATRED? ARE WE DESTINED TO SUFFER FOOLS AND TYRANTS?

QUOTE: "THE WORLD ROTS ON NOT BECAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING. RATHER IT IS DUE TO GLOBAL HATING WHICH FILLS OUR ATMOSPHERE WITH POISON." -Tony

LEMONS: TO TYRANTS, EGOISTS BULLIES, POWER MONGERS AND HATE-SPREADERS WHEREVER THEY MAY BE FOUND.

HERE IS A DOZEN!
