THE COMEBACK:
I’M SIGNING UP FOR BULL RIDING AT THE CALGARY STAMPEDE!
COME ON! CANADIANS KNOW THAT I AM THE PERSON THAT DEALS WITH THE BULL!
THE MESSAGE:
HUMANITY
As children return to school, in this very complex era, it is mandatory that their education is topical, endearing, meaningful and lasting. Teachers have an indisputable responsibility to nurture their students ahead of their Unions. A complete presentation includes some combination of arts, literature, reading, drama and sports. Are we too concerned about technology that we forget the valuable objectives of love, peace, truth and trust.
School sports and clubs can enable us to make lifelong friends and learn about things that technology doesn’t teach. Sports promote, strategy and competitive drive. They also teach the values of having others depend on you and the importance of depending on co-operative effort. I believe that these values are the key to developing successful, loving families within a society.
THE BLURB:
Humans will always benefit from formal training and academic learning; however, we must remember that human development has other needs. It is apparent that, in today’s society, education is steadily moving online, becoming more personalized, individualized and related to the work environment.
Our children’s educations must become more about the importance of a life cycle that is continuously developing beyond prepackaged degrees and the periods of late teen years and early twenties. A values education must provide an honest understanding that any social commitment, especially marriage, is based on trust, truth and teamwork. A successful family life must be based on the mutual knowledge of who and what you are.
As people age, it is obvious that their lives undergo changes in attitudes, needs and desires. In a relationship, only the individual can know when she or he is ready to take the next step step. Noted couple’s therapist, Ian Kerner, PHD, suggests that one or two years is a good time to date before getting engaged.
Kerner’s book, 'She Comes First' is a fun and informative reference for men. It is a virtual encyclopedia of female pleasure, detailing dozens of tried-and-true techniques for consistently satisfying a woman and ensuring that sexual fulfillment is mutual.
As women everywhere will attest, men are 'ill-cliterate.' Most guys know more about what's under the hood of a car than under the hood of a clitoris. But in Kerner’s world the mystery of female satisfaction is solved and the "tongue is proven mightier than the sword." He postulates that oral sex isn't just foreplay, it's 'coreplay': simply the best way to lead a woman through the entire process of arousal time and time again.
Data taken from 1995, found that 48 percent of those who marry before 18 are likely to divorce within 10 years, compared with 24 percent of those who marry after age 25.
Divorce rates are highest among couples in their 20s. What causes ‘starter marriages’ to fall apart, and what can you learn from them? The highest divorce rates have been among women aged 25-29 and men aged either 25-29 or 30-34, depending on the year.
Brides and grooms who said ‘I don’t anymore’ before the age of 30 reveal much:
- Marriages that are built on fairytale promises, begin to founder when reality comes into view.
- It doesn't help that they found their lives going in different directions. Paul went back to university, while Nathalie went straight into work, and progressed quickly.
- I went in knowing there was a good chance it wasn’t going to work. But there was also a good chance it would work.
- I was like, ‘Oh really? When does it get fun?’ And that is not a criticism of him, I think we just didn’t know what sort of existence marriage really is.
- As a culture we seem to believe that marriage is a kind of end point and a solution to all ills, rather than the start of a complex process.
- I suppose it was very lighthearted, you know, as girlfriend and boyfriend, then it got more serious when we were living together.
- The church says marriages are made in heaven, but so are thunder and lightning.
- I wish I’d been taught to indulge in the pleasures of being alone.
THE QUESTION:
Should there be a legal age minimum for getting married?
THE LEMON:
Awarded to a divorced parent who fails to realize that children, born of the marriage, NEED both parents to be supportive of the other in the event of a divorce.
"I love you now more than I did when we married 50 years ago!” A loving spouse.
