ALL LIVES MATTER; BLOG# 2176; FRI FEB 22, 2029

THE MESSAGE:

How often have you heard these exclamations? What in the world? Where is that coming from? Holy crap, seriously! How about these orders? Shut up and listen! Follow me. Because I said so! I don’t care, just do it.

What are the causes of troubled neighbourhoods? Certainly many have become aware of and been exposed to ‘crazy lifestyles’ that leave an indelible mark on them! How many troubled communities exist because of one or more of the following causes?

THE BLURB:

HUNGER

It cannot be disputed that this generation produces enough food to feed all of the planet’s hungry peoples. Why then does hunger persist in so many of the world’s communities?  $30 billion per year is needed to end world hunger.  In the US, $737 billion per year is the amount Congress spends on defense.

RELIGION

I am not an enthusiastic fan of Karl Marx; however, his claim that Religion is the 'opium of the people' certainly has a ring of truth.

India is known for its cultural, linguistic and religious diversity. It is the birthplace of four major religions of the world: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. In 1976 the constitution declared everyone had a right to practice his or her religion peacefully.

The 'burkini bans' in France in 2016, were not only about religion or security, they also involved gender, sexuality, race, power, and history. Some people fear that this will cause a Muslim uprising in that country.

Throughout history, how many people have been killed in the name of religion?

EDUCATION

Many countries certainly are impoverished when it comes to effective and meaningful schooling.

In war zones across the world, education is being cut out of foreign aid. Is this the reason so many young people join Isis instead? Schools have become targets of war. The Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack has noted that there has been a series of attacks on schools in at least 21 countries experiencing armed conflict and insecurity since 2013. These are not accidents.
The world is now witnessing the highest levels of forced displacement that have ever been recorded. We must respond by rebuilding schools and universities  or the cycle of terrorism will go on.

In Jordan over 15 million children in the region don’t go to school.

ADDICTION

Alcohol and drugs  come to the forefront when it comes to the evils of incessant desire and lack of control among many people. But alcohol, uppers, downers, and other commonly abused substances aren't the only problems. Substituting the word "behaviour" for "substance," opens up the definition of addiction to all kinds of dependencies. Whether it's sex, the Internet, or bungee jumping, the desire to experience a "high" becomes so strong that the so-called addict loses control and seeks the activity despite all negative consequences.

POVERTY

Is there any doubt that greed and selfishness are key contributors to impoverished communities and crime filled neighbourhoods? Surely it’s the right thing to help in this area. Wealthy nations should be a force for good in the world. We. can make an enormous difference in saving lives, protecting children, improving health, and helping families and communities become self-sufficient.

GANGS

Why is it that most gangs exist as a replacement for poor families inflicted by uncaring fathers or baby mommas?  Juan Pablo GarcĂa was a six years old Mexican from Monterrey when he left home and joined a street gang. Over the next 14 years he sold marijuana for a local kingpin, became the leader of his own gang and developed a heavy cocaine addiction. Like thousands of others who hustle on the dusty streets of Monterrey, Mexico’s third-biggest city, he was the product of a society that has spawned a seemingly endless cycle of violent crime.

Recently, the members of a hundred gangs identified in Monterrey, Mexico and adjoining municipalities have agreed to halt all aggressions between them and to stop committing crimes.

With the aid of scholarships granted by the state, youths, aged between 10 and 30, are also being given the chance to resume their studies or to be formally employed.

ISTS

Sex and race present many communities with intolerable beliefs, choices and actions. Consider this male perspective. "Feminists are the new Nazis.”

"Like nazis, these  women see themselves as superior and believe themselves to be justified in their blatant prejudice. I cannot support a cause like this, especially one as damaging as feminism. The family unit has been destroyed because of their distorted views on humanity. Why do you think divorce rates are so high? Because 9 out of 10 times men get completely screwed over by the courts blatantly taking one side over the other. A man would have to be daft to get married nowadays when he has everything to lose, including having the children taken away from him.

It goes on, "I'm also tired of men being guilty until proven innocent. To accuse me of a crime  based on my gender alone is the very definition of sexism. I'm tired of  women berating men for being men.  Men are what's wrong with the world? Respect is earned, not given. It is also a mutual exchange. If you don't respect me for being a man then I won't respect you just because you're a woman.”

WOW! THE BATTLE GOES ON:

Good girl Nancy!

Holy crap Pelosi!

"Men have had their rights by default. Women have been treated unfairly for centuries. Men have never had to have their rights voted on, their bodies voted on, or have any sort of debate because they have their rights by default. You can't oppress the oppressors. You can't be sexist against men."

BRAINWASHING

From where do we get our character and moral code. Is it through reflection, analysis and empathy or do they occur as a result of blindly following the thoughts and behaviours of others?
It can occur from some news reports, politicians, trashy novels or tv shows, some pop music lyrics, celebrities b.s. etc.

NEED

How many single mothers are forced to work and raise a family at the same time? How many teenagers are forced to quit school and seek employment to help out with expenses? How many young kids join gangs in order to make money or to replace the lack of a suitable role model? How many immigrants from war torn countries bring their different coping methods to a community?

THE QUESTION:

Will mankind ever be able to accept cultural differences?
