DON'T NEED IT? DON'T BUY IT.

RANT: FROM A STUDY RELEASED BY THE BANK OF MONTREAL:
Some 60 per cent do it to cheer themselves up. Roman Catholics find confession is much cheaper
Fifty-five per cent do it because a specific item is discounted. “Look dear I saved $20 on this new $500 lamp.”
Forty-two per cent grab goods they don’t use. “Buy it for $20. But wait; if you call now we’ll double our offer”. Check out my sister’s basement full of useless gadgets!
The biggest culprits are clothes, restaurants, entertainment and shoes. Need I add anything?
Fifty-two per cent regret what they’ve done. Not enough to stop it!
Forty-three per cent can spend more in a month than they make. Surely this is not totally blamable on impulse!
Almost one-third has borrowed for their impulses. That’s why we get credit cards in the mail.
Men spend double the amount of women, largely on dining out and clothes. Women spend less for the same thing. They might have a difficult time convincing men of this fact!
Impulse buying is more prevalent among young people. Who among us would argue against this point. Well….. maybe the ‘Occupiers’ would.
